About

Our Academic Director, Linda Hartnett, began her career teaching high school mathematics in New York State. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees from the State University of New York. After moving to Maryland, she taught at Glenelg High School and became the head of the department. She has instructed all high school math subjects from Algebra I through AP Calculus AB. She has also designed and taught a summer four week SAT I math preparation course. In addition, she has attended several national math conventions and has been a speaker at state conferences and county workshops.

Bright Spot will open for the 2022-2023 school year on Monday, August 29, 2022 and will close on Wednesday June 14, 2023 if there are no inclement days added to the end of the school year. Otherwise, Bright Spot will be open Monday-Thursday 3-8 PM and Saturdays from 9-3 PM except for the holidays listed below.
